Job Description and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

You will work as part of the product development team responsible for advanced software coding for our cutting-edge laser systems. Benefitting from Lasersec’s advanced laser design you will produce code that ensure reliable operation of our lasers under all operating conditions. You will also work with the wider development team to test the performance of your code. Required to support software on existing laser products and develop code for new products.

Education and Work Experience

•Embedded software engineer with a experience preferably in photonics or other hi-tech industry

•A background in industrial / manufacturing development across full software lifecycle

•Ideally familiar with Freescale DSP although other hardware architectures useful

•Embedded Real Time Operating Systems – ideally uCos

•Experience of CAN Bus, RS232, USB, Ethernet(TCP/IP) and JTAG (Debugging)

•Strong C coding skills on embedded platforms

•Windows based development tools e.g. CodeWarrior

•Configuration Control (Subversion)

•Graduate calibre, capable of working with minimum supervision
